Bau is a sculptural pendant lighting chandelier designed by Vibeke Fonnisbegr Schmidt, who has combined colour, composition and geometric shapes in a unique and creative design.
The design is based in interlocking geometric circles, sticking out in all directions. Bau has an immediate pattern that is broken up by the discs’ colours, sizes and off-centre linkages, making the lamp living and organic in its expression.
The designer Vibeke Fonnesberg Schmidt explains the design of the Bau pendant lamp: ” When you change your position in relation to Bau, the tight geometric lines are broken. The sort of experience I want people to have is to see the Bau lamp and wonder what it looks like from the other side. It must appeal the people’s sense of curiosity.”
The Bau Pendant Lamp consists of birch wood discs in the colours red, black, blue, white and yellow, and it is available in two different sizes. Furthermore, a 4 meters cable and a user’s manual is included in the delivery package.
